Kohnke earned his one win of the season against Washington on Mar. 2 in his first start of the year, 7-4. He threw six innings against the Huskies, allowing seven hits, four earned runs and five strikeouts. Against Stanford on Mar. 22, Corey came in for 2.2 innings of relief with one hit, no earned runs and three strikeouts in the 7-3 loss. Corey finished out the year with 21 strikeouts and a 1-3 record for the Tigers.<b>High School:</b><br>Corey graduated from J. Serra High School in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. in 2007. Kohnke posted a 1.82 ERA as a senior, tossing 69 innings and collecting 68 strikeouts. Corey nabbed one save and threw four complete games. As a junior, Kohnke delivered a 5-4 record and a 2.07 ERA, throwing five complete games. He posted 65 strikeouts in 54 innings of work in 2006. A three-time All-Trinity League First Team selection, Kohnke also excelled at the plate for J. Serra HS, posting a .475 batting average as a senior. In each of his final two seasons, Corey was selected to the All-CIF First Team and earned team MVP honors.<b>Personal:</b><br>Corey Kohnke is the son of Mike and Liz Kohnke. Corey has one sister, Jenna (23). In his third year at Pacific, Corey is majoring in communication.
